Coffee Corner – July 2014

Today’s the beginning of a series of monthly posts on coffee.

I drink a lot of coffee. My day job involves being on the first train and in the office before the Today programme has even started. I have seen the wrong end of 5am too many times to count.

Seriously.

It’s a problem.

You see stuff. Stuff goes down.

Lol jk. Nothing goes down. 99.9% of the rest of the population are asleep. It’s basically me, the train driver and the bored looking guy in the 24 hour Tesco I pass on the walk from the station awake at that time.

For those unfamiliar, it’s two big plastic tubes which form a press. You pop in ground coffee, near-boiling water and then press down on the top tube. And then you have coffee. It’s also made by the people who made those awesome Aerobie frisbees from when I was but a whippersnapper, which is entirely useless knowledge, but made me smile.

It’s silent, it’s easy, it requires little to no washing up.

Could it be perfect?
